About the role

We are looking for a (Senior) Platform Engineer with experience in Google Cloud and a passion for building highly scalable and secure infrastructure and who wants to grow with us. You will be managing a multi region cloud infrastructure, working jointly with members of a closely knit tech team, and enjoy a great deal of freedom and flexibility in shaping our systems and cloud computing landscape and future.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our platform scales smoothly with increased demand;
• Automate repeatable tasks;
• Contribute and improve CI/CD pipelines;
• Strengthen platform security;
• Identify platform bottlenecks and improve performance;
• Extend systems and application monitoring;
• Ensure systems and application uptime;
• Keep systems up to date and patched.

• 3+ years of experience working on Google Cloud;
• Experience with Kubernetes and Istio;
• Experience with Prometheus & Grafana monitoring stack;
• Programming / scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, Golang or other);
• Experience with CDN’s and content delivery;
• Experience with configuration management such as Ansible, Puppet or Saltstack;
• Experience with IaC and tools such as Terraform;
• Experience with Kafka, Clickhouse, WAF and (cloud) security best practices will be considered a plus;
• Comfortable learning new skills, being proactive and keep track of new developments;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

The process
